EBBETH
the short crossing
A short row on an island, every door to Hossun. The crossing is short, and that is the whole character of the place.
You went across from the spur at Hossun in the evening and you could see Ebbeth the whole way, which is not true of Quellin. The row stands close on the near side of the island with every door to the water, facing Hossun, so that from the spur the whole town is looking at you.
The landing is on that side. Nothing at Ebbeth faces any other way.
The mends are carnelian, the reddest on the far side, and in the evening light across the fog they are the first thing you see of the place. Below the last step the hollows are few, and set between the row and the landing.
FrameA small closed oval. The island is the frame, as at Quellin, and the row is drawn where it faces Hossun.
ViewpointDrawn from above, as inhabited areas are.
