Rennith: a small loose cluster of six grey poured dwellings on dry pale ground in watercolour, standing a little apart with faint tracks between them and one clearer track leaving to the right, low hills on the horizon, no fog.

The newest ground on the sheet. The tracks between the houses are not worn in.

You will remember that there is no row at Rennith. The houses stand where they were poured, a little apart, and the tracks between them are faint, because not enough people have walked them yet to wear them in.

The way leaves from the east side, to Pellen, and on from Pellen to Corren. It is Rennith's own way, and it joins nothing else. Nobody from Rennith has yet come home by any other.

The mends are yellow. There are not many. There has not been time.
