Ennoth

Ennoth: a long straight row of ten grey poured dwellings on dry pale ground in watercolour, every window facing the same way toward a worn track that leaves the end of the row, a wide bare patch worn where the row ends, thin red-ochre mend seams on the stone, no fog.
ENNOTH

opposite the Shelf

The farthest from the Shelf there is. Everyone here sets out earliest.

You left from Ennoth before anyone else on the far side did, because you had the longest way. The row stands with every door to the way out, and the ground at the end of the row is worn wider than the row is, from all the standing before setting off.

The way goes west, to the city, and from the city on. Nobody at Ennoth will tell you how long the whole of it is. They will tell you how long to Sabbin.

The mends here are red. It is the colour of the ground a little way inland, and you cannot mistake it for the city's.

FrameA long rectangle. Ennoth is one row, and every door in it faces the way out. ViewpointDrawn from above, as inhabited areas are.
