USSET
on its own pool
A half ring of low houses, and the pool makes up the rest of the circle.
You came down to Usset from the north and the pool was there before the houses were. They stand in a half ring on its dry side, low and broad, with their doors to the water, and the other half of the ring is the fog.
The pool is fed from underneath, like the one at Issun, and it is the same size before the count as after it. It is larger than Issun's. It is not large.
The mends are amber. Below the last step the hollows follow the curve of the shore, one row deep, and the lips are poured on the pool side so the fog stands in them a while after it has drawn back.
FrameAn open arc. Usset is a half ring on the shore of its pool, and the pool is the other half.
ViewpointDrawn from above, as inhabited areas are.
